What are the hours of the police department?

The Police Department is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Is there a curfew in Roosevelt Park?

No child under the age of 18 years shall be permitted, caused or suffered to be upon any public street, highway, alley, park or any public place in the city after the hour of 10:00 p.m. or before the hour of 6:00 a.m.

How do I obtain a police report?

Police reports may be obtained at the Roosevelt Park Police Department during normal office hours.

Is it legal to ride go-peds or motorized scooters on public streets?

Go-peds, motorized scooters, or mini-cycles are not permitted on public roads, right of ways, or anywhere open to the general public per State Law. They may only be used on private property.

How do I report a problem with speeders in my neighborhood?

Contact the police department and let us know the details of the problem; when the problem occurs, direction of travel, vehicle descriptions. The information will be passed on to the patrol officers who will monitor the area.

Do I need to register my bicycle with the police department?

No bicycle shall be propelled or operated upon any of the public streets, sidewalks, avenues, lanes, parks, bridges or public places within the city without an application having first been filed with the city police department. Registering bikes allows officers to easily locate the owner in case the bike is lost or stolen. A small registry sticker will be placed on your bike.
