The City Clerk is responsible for all elections and licensing.
To be qualified to vote in an election, you must be registered to vote. The City has two voting precincts. Precinct 1, located at City Hall, is all property East of Roosevelt Road with the exception of Tiffany Woods. Precinct 2, located at the Community Center, is all property west of Roosevelt Road and includes Tiffany Woods. You can register to vote at City Hall or at the Secretary of State’s office. On election day, polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. If you have any questions about your voter registration or absentee voting requirements, call 231-755-3721 ext. 1952. Business licenses are due each year. You must have a valid license to operate your business within Roosevelt Park. Applications can be picked up in City Hall or downloaded from this site. The fee is $35 per business, $120 per complex or $130 if liquor is sold at the business.
