“We want everyone in our community to enjoy a safe, festive, and peaceful holiday,” said Chief Shawn Bride of the Roosevelt Park Police Department.
“Knowing and following the law, especially when it comes to where fireworks can be used, helps ensure a fun and incident-free celebration for everyone.”
Fireworks are ONLY allowed:
🗓️ June 29–July 4 (and July 5 if it’s a Friday or Saturday)
🕚 Between 11:00 AM and 11:45 PM
🚫 NOT allowed on public property, including:
• Streets & sidewalks
• Parks
• Schools & churches
• Apartment/shared spaces
• Government property
✅ Fireworks must be used only on private property with the owner’s permission.
Safety Tips:
• Adults only
• Keep water nearby
• No alcohol or drugs
• Keep pets indoors
• Never aim fireworks at people or homes
