In light of the recent recommendations by state and local officials in regards to Covid-19, we ask that you not transact business (in person) at City Hall until such time as the threat has passed. We would encourage you to CALL the front desk at 231-755-3721, utilize one of the two drop boxes, or just use the mail service whenever possible. While our buildings are still open and staffed, we ask that you contemplate whether or not it’s necessary to transact in person. If you need tax information, please allow us to email or text it to you. The city is also temporarily halting all in-home inspections and in-home residential water meter installations. Property owners will be contacted individually to reschedule appointments once recommended by health officials. Elected and appointed officials take this situation very seriously and want staff and residents to remain vigilant when it comes to their health.
